Systems Integration

Make the systems you already own work together.

Replacing platforms is expensive and disruptive. More often the real problem is that your systems do not talk to each other. We build the connections, APIs and data flows that turn separate applications into one joined-up operation.

The problem

Signs you have an integration problem, not a software problem

These are the situations that most often bring organisations to us for this service. If two or three of them land, there is a conversation worth having.

Capability

What is included

The full capability. Most engagements start with part of it and grow, so you are not obliged to take everything on day one.

Integration assessment

Mapping your systems, the data that moves between them and the manual steps currently filling the gaps, with a costed plan to close them.

API development and management

Secure, documented, versioned APIs, with gateway management, authentication and rate limiting where volume requires it.

Middleware and iPaaS

Integration platforms that orchestrate data flows between applications with monitoring, retry logic and error handling built in.

Data synchronisation

Keeping records consistent across systems, with clear rules about which system is authoritative for which field.

Legacy system connectivity

Connecting older applications with no modern interface, through database-level integration, file exchange or robotic process automation.

Platform integrations

ERP, CRM, accounting, HR, e-commerce, payment gateways and mobile money platforms connected to the rest of your estate.

Monitoring and support

Integrations are watched continuously, with alerts when a flow fails, so you find out from us, not from a customer.

Documentation

Every integration documented so your team, or any future supplier, can understand and maintain it.

Outcomes

What changes for your organisation

The outcomes we hold ourselves to. We agree how each one will be measured before work begins.

Delivery

How we deliver it

The same five stages apply whether this is a short assessment or a long-term managed service.

1

Strategy

We start with your business goals, current systems, budget and constraints, then agree what good looks like and how it will be measured.

2

Design

We design the solution end to end: architecture, integrations, security, data, user experience and the plan to get there safely.

3

Build

We deliver in planned stages with clear milestones, regular demonstrations and testing, so there are no surprises at go-live.

4

Secure

Security, access control, backup and compliance are built into every stage, not bolted on once the project is finished.

5

Support

We train your people, hand over documentation and stay on to monitor, maintain and improve the solution over time.

FAQs

Common questions

Usually, and often by a wide margin, particularly once you account for migration effort, retraining and the disruption of a replacement. It is not always the answer: if a system is genuinely unsupported or holding the business back, we will say so.

Common with older software, and still solvable. Depending on the system we can integrate at database level, use scheduled file exchange, or automate the user interface directly with RPA. The assessment establishes which is appropriate.

Every integration is designed with authentication, encryption in transit, least-privilege service accounts and full logging. Where personal data crosses systems we address the Data Protection Act implications explicitly as part of the design.

This is exactly why integrations need monitoring and support rather than being built and forgotten. Under a support arrangement we track vendor changes, test against updates and adjust the integration before it breaks.
